Qur’an Tafseer – Understanding the Quran

Course content:

• Usool of Tafseer and Explanation of different theories starting from Surah Al-Fatihah onwards.
• Study of each verse, going through each verse and understanding why it’s there, what’s the message in the verse, links of this verse with the message before it and general message of the chapter and it’s content.
• Summary of each chapter, messages that are unique to each chapter, main message of each chapter, it’s claims, types of proofs given to justify the claim, who is this verse / chapter speaking to and much more.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a copy of Quran (Mushaf) and a note book. First few lessons are critical as they will explain how we approach Tafseer and our methodology and essential terminology.
